Start or Lead a Stanford Alumni Club

Interested in creating or running an official Stanford alumni club? Here’s what you need to know.

How to Start a Stanford Alumni Club

To start a Stanford alumni club or group, contact the SAA community manager for your region or interest, and sign a formal agreement with the Stanford Alumni Association. Once your club is running, SAA provides leaders a toolkit for membership, events, reports, and outreach.

See if Your Club Already Exists

Search Stanford alumni clubs and groups by region, school, interest, or shared identity. You’ll need to sign in with your Stanford alumni account. If a club exists, ask the leaders about volunteering instead.

Email Your Community Manager

Contact the SAA Community Manager who covers your region or interest to determine next steps.

Sign the SAA Club Agreement

Every club is a branch organization of Stanford University, and is required to have formal agreements with SAA. Your community manager will help when the time comes!

Set Up Your Club

Use the leader toolkits to set up membership, plan a first event, and announce the club to local alumni.
