Our Third Chapter: How We’ll Be All Right Now
What can each of us do to find meaning, connection, and wellbeing in the “third chapter” after 50? The challenges of our times are myriad and significant. Democracy at home and abroad is under threat. The impacts and unknowns of a changing climate and quickly evolving technology are growing. Personally, significant mental health challenges confront many of us and those we love. As we juggle work-life, many are sandwiched between caregiving for young people and for elders with longer lives and chronic conditions. How and when should we (and can we) retire? And in the face of these questions, what strengths and gifts has this stage of life afforded us to sustain hope and momentum, discover new ways to live our purpose, and continue to grow and thrive as human beings?
From nurturing self and family, from impacting our communities to the broader human condition, hear from classmates who are wrestling creatively with how we’ll be “all right now”—and showing many ways to answer it.
