General
Reunion Homecoming will take place October 16–19, 2025.
Registration for Reunion Homecoming is now open here, and pricing can be found on each class page.
There will be limited kids programming at Reunion Homecoming, although there are plenty of campus destinations to visit during your time on campus.
Mini-Reunions
Start with the Mini-Reunion Request Form and sign up as a coordinator. This will prompt SAA staff to prepare a contact list for your group.
When your list is ready, it will be shared via a Google Document email inviting you to view the spreadsheet. Usually, your contact list only includes your name, class year, geographical area, and email.
Your Mini-Reunion Chair will notify you when your contact list is ready. Please remember that contact lists and the website listing may take 2-3 weeks during our busiest periods.
Coordinators may request phone numbers and/or mailing labels for alumni in their group so they can call or send letters and invitations to their Mini-Reunion group. Requests can be made by emailing mini-reunions@alumni.stanford.edu. Please include your class year and Mini-Reunion group name in the subject line (e.g., ’99 Kappa Alpha - mailing label request).
No. The Stanford Alumni Association terms of service for the use of these contact lists states that the lists provided are strictly for a one-time use only for the purposes of outreach to your Mini-Reunion group members.
Your list has been created using the broadest parameters, and the information SAA receives is not always 100% inclusive.
Reasons classmates may be missing from your list:
They are not affiliated with your group in the database (usually an oversight or data error)
They have asked not to be contacted
They are deceased or missing
You can look up the missing persons using the Alumni Directory or consider crowdsourcing with other group members to help locate classmates. SAA staff are unable to research individual members for you.
Yes, yes, and yes. Mini-Reunion groups are defined as any two or more alumni who gather by affinity, interest, or shared experience. Examples of multi-year Mini-Reunion groups include Ram’s Head, SLE, HAAS Center, Greek organizations, and groups celebrating an anniversary. You can determine your invite list any way you wish.
As host, you pick the time that best suits you and your invitees. The Reunion staff strongly recommends selecting a time that does not conflict with your Class Panel and Class Party. If you choose to host off-campus, be aware that the time you wish to host will be affected. Don’t hesitate to poll your group for time and place suggestions—it will help you decide what works best for them.
You can host on-campus or off-campus, and as the host, you select the time and place that best suits you and your group invitees. SAA publishes two Mini-Reunion site Directories with places that have worked well in the past. You can also find suggestions here.
The most convenient and perhaps easiest place to have your Mini-Reunion is the Friday Class Lunch or Saturday’s Class Tailgate before the football game. These mealtime events are located at your class headquarters tent.
We suggest setting a limited time for your Mini-Reunion within the four-hour block that the tailgate is scheduled (e.g., “Our Mini-Reunion will take place during the first 1.5 hours of the Class Tailgate.”)
Advantages of hosting at these locations include:
You don’t have to keep track of RSVPs.
You don’t have to handle money.
SAA provides a meeting space and a sign for your group.
All attendees will register (and pay) for the class lunch and/or tailgate
Food/beverages are included in the lunch and/or tailgate ticket price.
Multiple Mini-Reunions may be held at these locations with a single admission price so classmates can hop from one gathering to another.
Note: Class Tailgate time is not confirmed until the football kick-off time is set by the ACC and networks (as late as one week prior to Reunion Homecoming). Mini-Reunion coordinators and attendees must be flexible with timing.
Yes. The current dorm leadership manages each student residence and adjacent courtyards. We recommend contacting the RF (Resident Fellow) at least 2 months before your event to request permission (preferably in writing). He/she/they will want to know your timing and number of guests. We have found that 90% of the RFs and dorm leadership accommodate alumni guests during Reunion Homecoming, as long as rules are followed. It’s important to note that if you host at a dorm or row house, Residential Education does not permit you to bring or serve alcohol at the event, given the proximity to student residences.
Residential staff are often off-duty during the summer and resume responsibilities in mid-September, so planning earlier is better.
You may find the new neighborhood hubs and staffing on this website: https://resed.stanford.edu/neighborhoods/sequoia/neighborhood-staff
Row House communities have their Policies and Procedures found here: https://resed.stanford.edu/neighborhoods/neighborhood-resources/row-house-reservation-policy-and-protocol
Yes, but history tells us to recommend hosting no more than two gatherings. We often see ambitious volunteers attempt to host 3–5 Mini-Reunions, then ultimately drop out at the 11th hour, overwhelmed by the coordination. It’s essential to enjoy the time you are on campus, and If you want to see another group of classmates, recruit someone to manage the coordination (for you)!
First, fill out the Mini-Reunion online request form. Then, SAA staff will list your Mini-Reunion on your class Mini-Reunion webpage with all available information provided, including the date, time, and location of the coordinators (though we understand you may not have all of this information when you first sign up).
If your details change, be sure to email updates to mini-reunions@alumni.stanford.edu.
Note: SAA does not publish alumni home addresses or phone numbers. However, coordinators’ names will be hyperlinked to their email addresses on the Mini-Reunion listing.
The listing will appear on the Multi-Year Mini-Reunions webpage if your Mini-Reunion includes more than one reunion class year.
We ask each host to be in touch with their group a minimum of two times prior to Reunion Homecoming. The first communique should alert them you are planning a Mini-Reunion and ask them to save the date. The second communique should remind them of your group’s plans, and give them the who/what/where/when details of your event.
A personalized invitation is always the best way to invite a group member. In order of effectiveness:
Phone call
A personal email or text message.
Choose your favorite invitation platforms like Evite, Eventbrite, and paperless post. SAA does not recommend any invite platform over another.
Email blast (If you chose this method, you must insert all group member emails in the BCC address bar so that personal email addresses are not publicly sent to the entire group)
Over 200 Mini-Reunions will take place during the Reunion Homecoming, and they are designed to be volunteer-driven and organized by the hosts. SAA funding is unavailable.
If you anticipate expenses, consider the following options:
Ask each participant to pay an equal share or convey that the event is no-host and attendees should expect to pay for their share.
Be prepared to receive payment using a peer-to-peer payment application.
“Pass the hat” and ask participants to donate toward the expenses
Cover the costs of the event yourself as the host or with a select group of friends as co-hosts
Most mini-reunions do not incur expenses. The campus is full of beautiful spots to meet for photos and hugs.
We encourage you to find a classmate, friend, or partner from your group to help you plan and execute your Mini-Reunion, share the workload of communicating with classmates, and assist with any logistical support. As a team, you can collectively reach out to more classmates through whichever means of communication works best for your class. If you recruit additional co-coordinators, have them fill out the Mini-Reunion online request form, and we will update the website with their information, too!
Before canceling, search for another group member who can step in and organize.
If you need to cancel your mini-reunion, please email mini-reunions@alumni.stanford.edu. Be sure to include your class year and the name of the mini-reunion.
If you previously reached out to your group members, be sure to let them know that the event is canceled.
